Assistant Principal Collins

I am happy to serve as an Assistant Principal here at Lewis Elementary School, I am dedicated to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rigorous learning environment. With a passion for student achievement and staff collaboration, I bring 20 years of experience in education, ranging from classroom instruction to school leadership.

I began my career as a 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th Grade teacher at J.G Osborne Elementary.  After 11 years at Osborne, I joined Aldine ISD as a BRICKS teacher in the Behavior Unit and then moved to the Lane School in the Transition Services Program.  I have held roles as an Ascending to Men Academics Program Manager in HISD, and Instructional Behavior Coach in Conroe ISD. I have a deep appreciation for the power of relationship-building and culturally responsive teaching. I am committed to equity, academic excellence, and student well-being which has guided my leadership philosophy throughout my career.

I am honored to support the students, staff, and families of Lewis Elementary, and I am committed to helping every student grow to their full potential.
